Part One

Now the Giant 这个巨人, who had been drinking 之前喝了 much wine 很多酒, was fast asleep 正在熟睡 in a remote part 在很远的一头 of the castle 城堡的. Strong-arm 阿壮 had no sooner 刚刚 finished 解决掉 the Dragon 巨龙, than up started 就碰到了 the funny little boy 这个可笑的小男孩 who had opened the door 帮他开门的那个. He led Strong-arm 他领着阿壮 round to 拐到了 another part of the court-yard 院子的另一边, where he saw 他在那里看到了 his poor father 他可怜的父亲, who at once sprung to his feet 立刻扑到在他的脚下, and embraced him 抱住了他. Then Strong-arm 然后阿壮 called up his brothers 召唤他的弟弟们, and when they had embraced their father 在他们一个个拥抱了他们的父亲过后, they soon 他们很快 broke his chain 打碎了他的链子 and set him free 让他有了自由.

We must now 我们必须现在 return to 回到 the Little Old Woman 小老太太那里. After her sons had started 在她的儿子们动身后， she gave way to the most bitter grief 她悲伤不已. Part Two

When he came to the spot 当他来到那个地方 where the Old Lady 老太太 and her children lived 和她的孩子们居住的, he saw 他看到了 his old shoe 他的旧鞋子, and with a laugh 大笑一声 that shook the trees 把树都震动了, he thrust his foot into it 他立刻把脚套了进去, breaking through the roof 弄破了屋顶 that Strong-arm and Peter had put to it 阿壮和彼得搭建的.

The children （其他的女）孩子们, in great alarm 惊慌失措, rushed about 跑来跑去 inside the shoe 在鞋子里, and frightened 吓坏了 and trembling 浑身发抖, scrambled through the door 从门里仓皇挤了出来 and the slits 还有鞋子上的口子，which the Giant had formerly made for his corns 这是之前巨人为脚上的鸡眼划开的口子.

Part Three

By this time 这时候 the witch 巫婆 and the Little Old Lady还有小老太, as also Strong-arm 加上阿壮, his eleven brother 他的11个弟弟 and his father 以及他的父亲, were come up to the spot 都来到了这里. Strong-arm 阿壮 and his brothers 和他的弟弟们 shot their arrows at him 朝着他射箭 till at last 直到最后 he fell wounded 他受伤倒地, when Strong-arm went up to him 阿壮朝他走过去 and cut off his head 砍掉了他的头. Then the father 以后父亲 and the Little Old Woman 小老太 and all their children 还有所有孩子们 built a new house 建造了一个新房子, and lived happily 幸福地生活着 ever afterwards 从此.

三集故事结束了。我们可能觉得这个故事有点怪，因为这个阿壮好像毫不费力就杀掉了巨龙和巨人。我的感觉是，这个故事有一定的政治含义，当时的作者可能是因为某种原因，隐晦地写下了这个童话故事。它很适合拿到现代来，套用在某个极权国家上。不明白什么是极权国家？北朝鲜就是最典型的极权国家。
